परिचय
टिकाऊ भविष्य में अंतःविषयी मार्ग का उद्देश्य शोधकर्ताओं की एक नई पीढ़ी तैयार करना है, जो बढ़ती वैश्विक जनसंख्या के संदर्भ में स्थिरता के महत्वपूर्ण सामाजिक मुद्दों पर ध्यान दे सकें।
संधारणीयता अनुसंधान यह पूछता है कि बढ़ती आबादी, सीमित प्राकृतिक संसाधनों और नाजुक पर्यावरण को देखते हुए, लंबे समय में मानव कल्याण को कैसे बनाए रखा और बढ़ाया जा सकता है। यह क्षेत्र, अपने स्पष्ट लागू फोकस और मजबूत रणनीतिक भविष्य-निर्देशित नीतिगत निहितार्थों के साथ, सामाजिक विज्ञान को अपने दिल में रखता है।

Key research interests
You will have two supervisors from different disciplinary perspectives and different institutions. Your supervisors convene joint meetings on a regular basis and attend an annual one-day workshop for all Pathway students.

The PhD in Sustainable Futures offers useful preparation for related careers in the public, private, or civic sectors, as well as in academia.
In the public sector, it may open opportunities in government departments and agencies at international, national, and local levels. In the private sector, it provides training and analytical skills that are relevant to careers in consultancy or environmental management, for example. In the civic sector, it can lead to careers with environmental NGOs or development bodies.
